Jem’s 5th Bub’dey
Wednesday, March 8th, 2006*phew* wat a hectic day today was…
i took leave from work since last week, everything’s all planned for Jem’s birthday party at school…
(for all my kids’ birthday, there MUST always be a cake blowing @ cutting ceremony whether it’s home, school, big or small party…there must always be a cake!…call it being traditional @ sentimental…i think both!)
by 7.30a.m. was already up and ready with my Hubby and JonJon to send JemJem to school…had all the party packs loaded in the car etc…dropped Jem to school and went to my office to collect a beautiful chocolate moist cake and egg tarts from my colleagues…beauty of working in a big organisation @ family, there’s always someone capable of doing something @ baking (courtesy of Wong (birthday cake) & Jaya (egg tart) respective mrs.) and also the beautiful graphic-art ‘thank you’ cards (courtesy of AiLeng)…
by 9.30 a.m. we were back at Jem’s Kindy…had his cake blowing @ cutting in class with his 30 other classmates and classteacher Teacher Bernadette… my mom-in-law @ Ah Mah also came to join for Jem’s birthday party in his kindy, how wonderful it was!!…everyone had tons of chocolate moist cake, egg tarts and party packs…
@ 11.30 a.m… picked Jem up from school again and sent Jonjon off to school…wat a rush!
then, we picked Joshua up from home and spent the whole afternoon looking for Jem’s highlight of his 5th birthday… a bicycle!! after 2 hours of searching @ window shopping.. we finally found and decided with a beautiful 16" Polycon LERUN bicycle for Jem…it was worth every cent it cost! :o) then we had our ‘lunch’ at McDonald’s…the Birthday Boy’s choice of his fave meal! …F-R-E-N-C-H-F-R-I-E-S…
by 4.00 p.m… headed home-sweet-home and started with my dishes for dinner while Jem spent the whole time with Cuz Dylan trying out his new ‘toy’…both of them was fast asleep after that till dinnertime!
hmm, finally i can proudly say i prepared for my kid’s birthday dinner all by myself (really!) except for the sweet and sour gravy prepared by my mum, and of coz my assistant (maid) Tina who helped me with the raw ingredients…i am so proud of my own home-based culinary skills! :op (cheh!) he he he
@ 7.00 p.m… another session of cake blowing @ cutting for the birthday boy, Jeremiah Sean…another beautiful chocolate moist cake (courtesy of AuntyJaney!)…and of course, dinner…yummy yummy!…after dinner and dessert, again, all the boys - Jon, Jem, Joshua and Dylan ‘explored’ the new ‘toy’ at home…riding on the bike, chasing after the bike, being chased by the bike and even having a lick at the bike (LOL!)…
hmm , enough said and done for today!
think it’s time for me to zzzz and continue with my duties as a momma for all of my kids…
Baby Faye’s about to wakey-wakey anytime for feeding and also her ‘manja’ quality time with me…
tomorrow is another day @ work
as a momma,
a wife,
a daughter
and a Legal Secretary! :o)

i am so t-i-r-e-d…but it was worth it all, seeing my baby boy’s beautiful toothless smile on his 5th birthday…
