a Futsal Virgin…

Monday, March 19th, 2007

(was suppose to post this yesterday but eventually never got around to it) :o)

once more, it’s a Monday… today is the 19th March 2007 and my Baby came back today!! at noontime! (He
was away for MATTA Fair 2007 @ PWTC over the weekend manning his booth
and my darling girlfriends has been taking care of him; all the way
accompanying him shopping, dinner and drinks ~ I do miss my Baby tons
and absence does make the heart grow fonder *ahaks* it was so nice to
see him at the arrival hall, the first smile when u see each other,
u-know-tat-kinda-feeling-tingling-in-ur-heart butterflies-in-ur-stomach-kinda-thingy
*sighs* my Baby has never been away from us this long, not that it was
very long…
)

anyways, I played Futsal last Friday…. Yes, urs Truly! played FUTSAL! (it was also heavy downpour that evening after so long of dry and hot weather!)

Our firm has a ‘Sports & Recreation Club’ and from time to time, we’ll organize outdoor activities, trips, visits and sports activities like bowling, badminton, dart, now Futsal! My dear Boss; Nicky, suggested that we have a friendly game, Ladies’ Futsal, against Maybank…Fortunately, my colleagues had been practicing for two sessions (which I managed to squirm my way out coz it was always on the mid-noon of Sunday; so it’s either on Tina’s weekend off or my weekend time with family) urs Truly! being a VIRGIN at this game… can u imagine how horrified I was; just the thought of me (actually!) gonna be kicking some balls out! (I never imagined that I’d ever consent myself to participate as an actual player in Futsal… any other day, I would with outmost pleasure submit myself for a good game of netball or hockey!)

Our game was scheduled from 6 - 7p.m. Our firm, 11 ladies but Maybank, 3 ladies only so eventually, we had to split 7-on-7 each team…

 My team:

Anizah (Goalkeeper)

Maria, urs Truly!, Jessica-Maybank (Defence)

Clare, Fiona @ Eyon, Sugar (Strikers)

Opponents:

June-Maybank (Goalkeeper)

Joanne @ Puyang, Connie, Lily (Defence)

Fiona D, Dayang, Anne-Maybank (Strikers)

We started our game at 55mins (it took us 5mins to classify our team players!) we were so engrossed at our game, racing our hearts out to score goals and clearing away the ball; when only at remaining 26mins I realized we haven’t had our halftime! (well, actually I saw my glorious strikers getting short of breath after scoring 4 goals!) so, I gladly announced for timeout 5mins till the remaining 20mins… score was 4-0 (and of course, my team was on the winning streak!) in the 2nd half, we were taken aback when the opponents strikers started thrashing out defense… (but boy! Was it fun! Skidding at the ball and getting a few knee bruises with falling bouts and body-thrashing here and there) eventually, the game ended with 5-2… and yes of course, my team WON!

It was an excellent demanding superb backbreaking breathless mind-boggling body-bashing knee-wrecking elbowribs-kludging calisthenics; right from your teensy weensy twiggly toes to the roots of your tresses…it was completely beyond comparison to my workouts at gym for the past two weeks!! (thereafter, for the entire weekend I was walking with superfluous poise and gracefulness; enduring the FUNtabulous aftermath on my legs! *ouch ouch ouch*) but; will I do it again?? YES, definitely FOR SURE!

Our next friendly match is next Thursday, March 29th… I am actually looking forward to it! and.. we have also scheduled for a ‘training session’ come this Friday…

it’s pure FUNlaughter and JOYtears&cheers having an office do like this, definitely strengthens the bond and friendship in your working place…

In Memory of a dear Friend…

12th March 2007

10 years ago we lost a friend; at a very young age!

10 years ago we lost a friend; suddenly!

10 years ago we lost a friend; a void in our lives!

it strucked me cold this morning as I was going through the papers and I read the 10th year Anniversary in memory of a dear friend…

10th Anniversary

In Everloving Memory of

Olivia Hilda Payne

Departed on

12th March, 1997

They say there is a reason,

They say that time will heal,

But neither time or reason,

Will change the way we feel…

10 years has passed since you left us but the memory of you still remain in our heart and mind. “May You Live in peace this day, in the Garden of Paradise , Give her eternal rest, O Lord, and may your Light shine on her forever”.

Olivia a.k.a Oliee was a very young, striking beauty, free-spirited, carefree, fun-loving, happy-go-lucky, vibrant and ever-smiling lady… You would have always been mesmerised by her persona (and beauty!) and she leaves a very wonderful impact in everyone’s lives… I may not have been that very close with her during our high school days (but, still close enough) and she was very much loved by all of us. She was forever all smiles… and she will always be a dear to us… Her departure has definitely left a void in our lives… and the memory of our highschool days shall never be the same… SFConvent Batch of 1994… If I recall correctly (which I think I am 99% accurate), Olivia was in Boeing, Scouts, Kelab Pencinta Alam, Basketball, Hockey and Netball…

It has been 13 years since we left highschool… if and when our Grandeur SFConvent Batch of 1994 Reunion materialise, I’ll definitely (personally!) make sure that a tribute is made ‘In Memory of Olivia Hilda Payne’

*sighs & doublesighs & triplesighs & quadruplesighs*

it has been One year, Four months and Two days since a part of me died

Mummy will forever and always, everlastingly love you… Mummy awaits the day that I can cuddle and hold you lovingly in my arms again… my precious darling lil’Angel Jasemynne Faith Wong ManMan…

Absence makes the heart grow fonder…. (does it?)

Jem’s 6th birthday was yesterday… 8th March! … can’t believe my lil’BabySnake is now 6 years old! Wat a big boy he has become… he’ll actually be in Primary One next year and Joshua’s gonna be in playschool… then, looking at Jonjon again, sighs! He’s undeniably a lad now; he’s just about at the height of my shoulder, turning 9 this November 6th… omg! In 7 years time he’ll be a 16 year old teenager and his hormones would be raging… (pointed this fact out over coffee just the other night with a friend… recalling back when at one point, he himself was at that moment of raging hormones LOL! Imagining, what if it happens to me but in this scenario ~ it’s my son and I’m the mother… would I be doing the same thing? ahahah it tickles me just thinking about it BUT I know and I shall be a bestfriend to my sons/daughter… I have to be! They are my Babies!) my adorable younger babies, Joshua and Faye… it’s breathtaking to see them, especially now… Joshua is 2½ years and Faye slightly over a year old… my kids are a handful for sure, they are undeniably my MINT of JOY! No matter how dead beat or nerve-racking at times I may get, once I see them and just by spending time, doing nothing, lying down with them in the room, all my pessimism would go miles away and I am in entirety comfort and bliss…

It’s FRIDAY… (fortunately I wasn’t caught by the Monday Blues bug this week)… was just in a very mild sapphire mode! :o) let’s see wat my hubby’s plan for the weekend…

Read a good book last week, Hollywood Wives by Jackie Collins… got home from work, I was bushed and in dire need of relaxation… picked up the book at 6p.m. (it’s Ros’s book and I just thought, why not?) but, once I started I could not put it down, even if it was for a moment, till I had completed the whole saga, which I accomplished by 10p.m…. (of course I had one or two interlude in between ~ dinner and my babies)… but, the book is a first-class! (why didn’t I read it much much earlier?) Read it peeps! I won’t say much other than it relates to a group of very wealthy, attractive, high and mighty Hollywood friends who are caught up in the low life and high society of acquaintances, newcomers, secretholders, adulterers and their various escapades… to simplify, the book is a heart-stopping eye-opener to wat a bitch life can be!

Watched 2 movies recently;

Blood & Chocolate – the movie was good! I love the effects and the MEN… Olivier Martinez (oh gawd he’s damn yummy! you MUST watch him in ‘Unfaithful’ with Diane Kane! It was the first movie I saw of him and I have been transfixed with him thereafter… naughty naughty now ahahahahah) and, the leading lady, Agnes Bruckner, is a babe too! Wasn’t so keen on her man though… ha ha! So, are there living werewolves in our realm? Ok, maybe the storyline was not tat fantastic but I love the special effects!

Vivian: What’s the city taught you?
Aiden: That the werewolf stories have gotten it all wrong. In the loup garoux legend, they’re not cursed, their blessed. Like the moon turning them into wolves, that’s all how it’s twisted later. The loup garoux can change whenever they want. It’s- it’s, uh… mind over matter. Transcendence. You know, they believe they will change, and in that moment they do. Can you imagine that? From a man to a wolf.
Vivian: Sounds beautiful.
Aiden: It is. Uh, supposedly, you could kill them with silver, but also with fire.

Ghost Rider – it distorted my childhood image of the Marvel character, the Ghost Rider ~ Johnny Blaze is supposedly to be babyish blond with blue eyes… instead, it was Nicholas Cage! I preferred the younger version of Johnny, Matt Long, which was portrayed in the beginning… and, why was the leading lady Eva Mendes? other than tat, the special effects were amazingly beautiful throughout the film, and it also had a strong-held storyline that made me glued to the screen and only settling down after an exciting part. Maybe if they had stuck to the original Johnny Blaze of the comics, then the movie would have been purr-fect!

Caretaker: You alright?
Johnny Blaze: Yeah, I’m good. I feel like my skull’s on fire, but I’m good.

Have a good weekend…

Maybe I’ll catch a movie or two this week… :o)

cat and mouse

Thursday, March 1st, 2007

Was just talking with my darling girlfriend ~ has been (still is!) our most frenzied topic for the past 2 weeks…

The Art of the Cat and Mouse liaison…

It’s such grandeur to play the game! (though at times it can be so exasperating and cunt-fusing to the heart!)

Are women (actually) complicated creatures….? Are we asking to a great extent…?

all we desire is a diminutive speck of TLC and everything else would be (could be) ‘…and they lived happily ever after’… (I should think this applies to most! but then again, when realitybites… it is (can be) OUCH! We ourselves are responsible for making our own lives blissful now, ain’t it so? BUT of coz! never to the extend of losing your sense of worth and/or sagacity)… I am still very much a traditionalist (at heart) when it comes to the ‘art or courting’…

Aren’t men complicated creatures themselves? (YES, they are!!)

Why is it hard to understand them ourselves? Why can’t they understand us better and distinguish what we desire?

Are Men really from Mars? and, Women really from Venus?

Men and women alike are such magnificently complex creatures… tat’s beyond doubt!

I couldn’t concur better…

~ just when you thought you have the ball rolling in your hands, and you’re almost homerun, then… WHAM! BAM! Omg! where did I go wrong? What happened? What was tat?… AND it’s one helluva rollercoaster ride altogether, all over again… part and parcel of the game… so, what else is new? :o)

It ticks one of especially when they go MIA (Missing In Action!)… (right, Woman?) *tsk tsk tsk*

It hurts when one just disappears without raison d’être nor explanation…

It depletes you with frustration when you’ve dropped all the insinuation and cryptogram existing in humanity and yet some knucklehead is still sitting there as lame as a duck… (hey Woman, maybe I should get custom-made titanium brick and knock his cranium for you. If it doesn’t work, I’ll knock it harder until he comes to his god-damn senses, ya? ha ha ha maybe not! just ask him to F*** off!)

M-E-N  :o)

W-O-M-E-N  ;op

I have a handful of unforgettable in my existence… holding an exceptional place in your heart, the ones whom shall always have a special place in your heart… women and men alike… (I’m blessed and thankful for their existence!)… it is how you comprehend these unforgettable in your life that they’ll stay embedded forever and ever in your heart…

appreciate wat you have… (you never seem to unless and/or until you’ve lost it, then it’ll come to the point of no return and you can never go back to wat it was then as it would never be the same now, can’t it?)

take no one for granted… (everyone crossing your path will and may somehow have an impact in your life; if not now then maybe in the future)

practice empathy… (put urself in the other’s person shoes and think, would you have liked it if it was done the same way towards you; if it had been the other way round?)

look at yourself in the mirror first before you think that you have to articulate something… (this goes especially to those who gloriously loves to be a smartass and darlingly judgmental!)

you owe no one any explanation… except and only to those who matters most (I’m not asking you to lay the bread and the butter on my table now, am i? so, wtf are you?)

always be in high spirits… (even when and/or if the rest of the world is crumbling down on you)

be original… (you are your own entity… you make your own self and there can never be another you!)

even if and/or when you do fall (no matter how hard it is!) always pick yourself up and continue on walking with your head held up high and with a stunning smile on your fascia…

if you don’t and/or never fall, then you’ll never be able to know the pleasure and splendour of pain now, would you? … and so it goes that, if you’re never able to know the pleasure and splendour of pain, you’ll never be able to learn from your blunder and gaffe now, can you?

and so, if you never learn from your blunder and gaffe, you can never improvise and mould your own entity to perfecto now, can you?

Aim for perfection…!

I’ve had one too many scars, pockmarks, stitches and bruises (just name it!)… I am more than willing to ‘share’ them one fine day over coffeetalk or drinks, but then again, maybe I shall reserve my beauty marks to myself now, ya? :o)

although every now and then, I still do get caught in the form of clumsiness, enough to get an additional (or, two!) beauty marks again (and, again!)… who doesn’t? … the part and parcel of livelihood … I am proud of every beauty marks I gained in my living… with regrets (maybe a few) but well,… hey! Shit happens! :op

I first read this phrase when I was a blooming teenager and I think it has very strong significance…

if you love something, set it free.. .if it comes back, it is yours… if it doesn’t, it never was!

I love u Baby, for infinity… always have, always will!

Hey, Woman… it ain’t your loss at all… it’s the knucklehead’s loss… he has missed the boat ignorantly one time too many now, hasn’t he? Dumbass… LOL! Outta sight, outta mind but, outta heart?

Dun worry, be happy…

Let’s drink and be merry! :o)
